we are following developing news at 530, new information in the 1984 kidnapping of

kevin thomas. you are looking now at just released pictures of the subjects. here is what we know, the suspect lived with many different birth years. they say he also had a history of kidnapping and sexually assault of children. in 1981 he was our arrested and a fisherman area for kidnapping and lewd acts on a child. he was arrested on that are outstanding warrant and pleaded guilty. serve six months in jail and three years' probation. meanwhile he was also wanted in canada for 1973 and said. police say he kidnapped and sexually assaulted two children. he was originally arrested and charged and fled canada once italy's. police say he was never caught in part because he is so many different names. >> reporter: kron4 has been first to give you critical developments. we have been

alive last week when we were searching the home and the first dramatic indication they were renewing the investigation into the decade-old case. there search using cadaver dogs says they found no human rights. it did bring life affect that the man who used to live here was the kidnapper. dan collins, kevin's mother talked to us about how hard it is to see the photos and heartbreak of kevin's disappearance essentially lived. collins told us she has her own theories about what happened. she thinks towns who saw someone standing on the core that night and it was a crime of opportunity. she remembers that one of the leads from 30 years ago saw her son talking to a 30 year-old blonde haired man with a dog. police say he is

several names but at one time he lived in the home that police have revisited. only on kron4, we would report to the suspect's name and the photo. he died from a heart attack in 2008. he was 28 when kevin disappeared, back in 1984. it does that the description. he also owned a dog. the home is right across the street from kevin school. kron4 was the first to bring a detail from his personal life and various jobs, and we talk to his former landlord from when he lived in a sunset district home, and this is after he lived there. that landlord told kron that he was living with his longtime partner jackie child, not consider suspect, after he
